Brazil to host a meeting of finance ministers and central bankers of BRICS countries under Russia’s presidency

It will be held on the margins of the G20 ministerial meeting

On 27 February, Brazil will host a meeting of finance ministers and central banks of the Brics countries on the margins of the G20 ministerial meeting.

Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, will present the priorities of the Russian presidency in the financial track of the association and propose an initiative to improve the international monetary and financial system. This is reported by the official
website of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

The agenda of the meeting will include the following issues: prospects for the development of the global economy and the BRICS economies, blended financing of infrastructure projects, customs and tax co-operation, co-operation between the BRICS stock exchanges and the expansion of co-operation in the field of insurance and others.

This will be the first meeting of the Brics financial track with full members since 1 January 2024.
