South Africa’s presidency names priority areas for South Africa’s ruling party
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has said his party, the governing African National Congress ANC, will focus on six key areas of economic development, including job creation, re-industrialisation, investing in infrastructure and tackling the high cost of living.
Ramaphosa also promised that ANC would create 2.5 million jobs in the next five years and increase social benefits for the unemployed. He also highlighted re-industrialisation as another priority for the party and said they plan to develop industries and support the local economy. This is reported by

The president also promised to invest in energy, road and railway infrastructure and remove existing constraints in these sectors.
He also emphasised that the party will tackle the high cost of living and is taking measures to ensure food security.
Ramaphosa also announced that elections in South Africa will be held on 29 May this year.
