The China Astronaut Research and Training Centre is preparing to conduct a series of ground-breaking experiments aimed at keeping astronauts healthy during long-duration space missions.

Researchers at the China Astronaut Training Centre, located at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in northwest China, are hard at work preparing medical samples to be sent to the Chinese space station aboard the Shenzhou-18 spacecraft. This is reported by

Challenges associated with prolonged stays in space, such as bone mass loss and muscle atrophy due to the lack of gravity, highlight the critical nature of the ongoing research.

In an effort to simplify the research process and improve efficiency, scientists have implemented automated operating systems tailored to the astronauts’ needs.

China’s space station has become a crucial platform for aerospace medicine research. To date, more than 50 relevant experiments have been successfully completed. The ongoing efforts underscore China’s commitment to promoting the health and safety of astronauts in the expanding field of space exploration.
