China, India and Brazil are interested in broadcasting BRICS Games

This was announced at a briefing by the Minister of Sports of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov

Tatarstan’s Sports Minister Vladimir Leonov took part in a briefing where he gave details about preparations for the BRICS Games. This is reported by the official
website of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The official noted that the international community is involved in the coverage of the events:

“I know for sure that Brazil, China, India are interested and they want to broadcast the competitions with their own commentators, in their own language,” Leonov said.

During the briefing he also said that a meeting of BRICS sports ministers will be held in Tatarstan on 22-23 June to discuss further development of the BRICS Games format.

According to him, the ministers will also discuss holding sporting events under the BRICS aegis in Russia, including in Tatarstan. “This is no longer for this year, but for next year. There is definitely a point of growth here,” the Tatarstan sports minister added.

The BRICS Games will be held in Kazan from 12 to 23 June.
