He added that in a broader sense, the BRICS expansion is a manifestation of the rise of the global South and the accelerating development of multipolarity in the world, which could fundamentally change the map of the world economy.

Wang Yi said that China and Russia have made a strategic choice to maintain and develop bilateral relations in line with the fundamental interests of their people and the trends of modernity. This is reported by

The foreign minister also said that China supports holding the BRICS summit in Russia this year.
