Ethiopia’s GDP doubles in the last 5 years
Ethiopia has made over US$10 billion in revenue from its exports of goods and services
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasised that Ethiopia’s GDP has doubled over the past 5 years. This is reported by

According to the prime minister, Ethiopia’s GDP has grown to 205 billion US dollars.
Ethiopia’s economy has grown to be the second largest in East Africa over the past five years, surpassing the combined GDP of its six neighbours.
Exports of goods and services brought in more than US$10 billion in the fiscal year 2023–2024.
According to Abiy Ahmed, Ethiopia’s industrial sector has made great strides and is expected to expand by 10.1 per cent this year.
According to the source, the prime minister stated that Ethiopia plans to provide farmers with 40,000 motorised irrigation pumps in order to attain seed self-sufficiency by the next year.
