South Africa records budget surplus
The South African government said the republic has achieved its first primary budget surplus in 15 years, as reported by
Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
“The last time government had a budget surplus was before the 2008 global financial crisis,” said a statement issued by the South African Government Communication and Information System.
It was added that the Cabinet continues to engage regularly with companies and labour unions to stimulate the economy.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier announced the country’s national unity government made up of 11 parliamentary parties.
