Exhibition of Islamic miniature and calligraphy is held in Russian region

The works of three artists were exhibited in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan

Representatives of the Consulate General of Iran together with partners in the Russian city of Kazan held an exhibition “Art as a Bridge” dedicated to Islamic miniature and calligraphy. This is reported by
IRNA, a partner of TV BRICS.

The exhibition presented at the State Museum of Fine Arts of the city consisted of 40 miniatures, 15 calligraphies and 15 mixed style works by such masters as Reza Badrossama, Nasser Tavoosi, and Lira Sulaiman.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by university professors, students, Islamic art lovers, as well as consuls general of China, Turkey and Turkmenistan.

Davood Mirzakhani, Consul General of Iran in Kazan, called art as a bridge to enhance cultural relations and emphasised the need to expand cooperation between the countries in this area.
