More than 60 Ethiopian companies are operating in different sectors of industrial parks. This is reported by
ENA.

Zemen Junedin, spokesperson of the industrial parks development corporation, said the number of such companies will increase.

He said the incentives given to local investors, including income tax exemption, duty-free importation of machinery and vehicles that can help in production, play a crucial role in this trend.

The companies that are part of the industrial parks operate in the priority areas of agro-processing, manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors. According to a business representative, these firms have created more than 100,000 jobs, employing women among others.

According to Zemen Junedin, industrial parks nurture young professionals who can easily learn technological innovations and quickly get into production processes.
