The topic of the 28th regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China in autumn 2023 will be the implementation of the agreements reached by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leader of the People’s Republic of China.

Representatives of the two countries plan to study the development of relations of comprehensive partnership and cooperation, as well as humanitarian and interregional exchanges.

“Special attention will be paid to expanding trade and economic cooperation and promoting major joint projects in various fields,” the statement said. Representatives of the Russian Federation and China will sign a joint communique and a number of bilateral documents.

It should be noted that the volume of mutual trade between the states is growing, and by the end of 2023 it will reach a record high, exceeding $200 billion for the first time. More than 90 per cent of all bilateral transactions are made using national currencies: the ruble and the yuan.
