Mozambican carrier opens additional routes to South Africa

The move will boost economic and cultural ties between the countries

Mozambique’s flagship carrier has opened two additional routes between Maputo and Cape Town in South Africa, and Maputo and Lisbon in Portugal. The company is going to expand its global footprint.

This strategic decision is expected to boost economic and cultural ties between the countries. Mozambique is one of the top destinations for South African travellers.

Mozambique’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, praised the airline for its action. She said the decision to launch new routes makes Maputo an African tourist destination for international travellers.

“The Maputo-Cape town route has immense potential,” she said.

The aviation industry continues to recover. The Mozambican carrier aims to become a dynamic player that can capitalise on new opportunities and contribute to the revival of global air travel. This is reported by
African Times, a partner of TV BRICS.
