Putin: BRICS countries to be able to generate about 37 per cent of global GDP by 2028

The President noted that Russia co-operates with its partners on the principles of equality and respect for each other’s interests, which is why new and new states are actively joining the work of the EAEU, SCO, BRICS and other associations with Russia’s participation.
The leader pointed out the prospects for building a Greater Eurasian Partnership in conjunction with integration processes within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and the People’s Republic of China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative.
The President also believes that the Russia-ASEAN dialogue is developing positively. “The Russia-Africa summits were a real breakthrough. The African continent is becoming increasingly vocal about its interests and its right to genuine sovereignty,” the President stressed.
Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly is one of the powers of the President, which is stipulated in Article 84 of the Russian Constitution. It is a programme political and legal document that expresses the vision of strategic vectors of Russia’s development in the near future.
