The country’s Cabinet of Ministers has reviewed a report on preparations

South Africa has begun preparations for its G20 presidency. This was announced by Minister in the South African President’s Office, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, at a briefing on the decisions taken at the Cabinet meeting held the previous day.

She emphasised that Cabinet received and considered a report on South Africa’s preparations for the G20 Presidency and the 2025 G20 Summit.

“It is a momentous occasion for South Africa to organise a meeting of this calibre,” the minister shared. She noted that the G20 summit in South Africa will positively impact the world and countries on the continent.

Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said that the Cabinet is confident the country will be successful during its G20 presidency.

South Africa will chair the G20 in 2025. This year, Brazil is fulfilling these duties.
