Russian and Indian leaders reaffirm commitment to coordination through BRICS and SCO formats
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during telephone talks confirmed the mood for further coordination of the countries in multilateral formats, including within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the BRICS alliance. This was reported by the official
website of the President of the Russian Federation.
The leaders noted that economic co-operation between the two countries is actively developing.
“Both sides noted with satisfaction that mutually beneficial ties in trade and economic and investment areas, in the spheres of energy and transport are dynamically developing in line with a particularly privileged strategic partnership,” the statement said.
Vladimir Putin, in turn, wished Narendra Modi a successful holding of the upcoming parliamentary elections in India.
