TV BRICS expands television broadcasting in Russia

The TV BRICS International Media Network is expanding its television broadcasting in Russia. The Russian-language TV BRICS channel has become available on the online platform and in the satellite network of one of the leading operators, NTV-Plus. Slightly earlier, the media network strengthened its presence within the system of regional cable operators (the channel was launched by the provider “Kabelvideoefire” in Syktyvkar) and on the digital platform RTRS.PLUS.

As a result, the audience reach of the TV BRICS channel in Russia has exceeded 14 million subscribers. Thus, the media network’s partners from other BRICS+ regions have gained an additional opportunity to provide their television content to the multi-million population of Russia and Russian-speaking countries where the channel is available.

On the NTV-Plus TV online service, the TV BRICS channel is included in the “Poznavatelnaya” (Educational) and “Semeinaya” (Family) subscription packages; on the operator’s satellite platform, it is included in the “Basic Online” and “All At Once” packages, as well as in archived packages – “All Inclusive 549”, “All Inclusive 999”, “Basic”, “Basic Plus”, and “Light Plus”.

“We strive to provide our viewers with the most diverse and high-quality content reflecting global trends and cultural diversity. The launch of TV BRICS on our platforms is an important step in expanding our educational line-up and opening new horizons for our audience interested in global processes,” commented Larisa Dranenko, Director of the Content Management Department at NTV-Plus.

Broadcasting of the Russian-language TV BRICS channel is carried out across the entire territory of Russia: via satellite and digital TV operators, online TV viewing services, terrestrial television channels, video hosting platforms, and social media.

The TV BRICS editorial team produces its own news and thematic programmes, as well as documentary films about national traditions, culture, socio-economic development of different countries, and international cooperation. Through a system of multilateral information exchange, the broadcast schedule is supplemented with projects provided by the media network’s partners.

Thus, in Russia, TV BRICS exclusively features the series “Charm of Mozambique” by the public broadcaster TVM, the programme “My India” by the agency Asian News International, multi-part documentary films on Persian culture by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), and the film “Noqte” about the art of Iranian calligraphy by the Ibn Sina Islamic Culture Research Foundation.

Broadcasting of TV BRICS channels in English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic is scheduled in accordance with the interests of the target audience and is available on the respective versions of the TV BRICS information portal.
