Zimbabwe’s First Lady has provided humanitarian aid to hospitals in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa, has presented gifts to mothers who gave birth on Christmas Day at Mbuya Nehanda Maternity Hospital, Sally Mugabe Central Hospital and Chitungwiza Central Hospital. This is reported by

There were 11 babies born at Mbuya Nehanda, 12 at Sally Mugabe and five at Chitungwiza Central Hospital.

Each gift basket contained baby clothes, nappies, towel, baby blanket, baby powder, wet wipes, soap and more.

Auxillia Mnangagwa regularly helps all hospitals in the country with consumables and cleaning supplies and visits patients.

Senior nurse at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital, Lydia Chinomona shared an impression:

“We are so happy this Christmas day because of what our mother has done for us. She has come to bless children who have been delivered here on Christmas Day. <…> We really appreciate her gesture and she does this all the time,” she said.
