Iran increases exports to Russia and Belarus
Predominance of agricultural and petrochemical products
Exports of Iranian goods to Russia and Belarus increased significantly last year in terms of both value and volume, according to the general director of the Russian Tourism and Recreational Special Economic Zones Management Company.
According to information announced by Akbar Godari, the volume of Iranian goods exports to Russia reached 2185,000 tonnes worth US$946 million, representing a significant increase compared to the previous period. Agricultural and petrochemical products recorded particularly high growth in exports.
Imports of Russian goods to Iran rose to 3353 thousand tonnes worth 1 billion 691 million dollars, which represents an increase of 9 per cent in value and 27 per cent in weight. This is reported by

It was noted that exports of goods from Iran to Belarus rose by 34 per cent to US$20 million. Analysing this situation, Godari singled out the categories of goods with the highest exports to Belarus, including flooring, carpets, powder paint, mineral oils and other goods.
He emphasised the importance of trade delegations for the development of Iranian goods exports and strengthening trade ties between Iran and Belarus. Imports of goods from Belarus to Iran have also increased by 35 per cent.
In conclusion, Godari noted that planning the presence of Belarusian companies in Iran and the conclusion of new contracts contribute to the expansion of imports from Belarus, including synthetic fibre products, cellulose and industrial products.
