Putin noted the importance of mutual recognition of Russian and Indian educational diplomas

This step will facilitate employment of Russian students in India and vice versa

On Thursday, 25 January, Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a meeting with students at the Student House of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. During the event, the head of the state admitted that one of the priority tasks in the field of education is mutual recognition of diplomas and scientific degrees of Russia and India.

Putin mentioned that there are several areas within the BRICS framework that deal with education and science.

“We need to solve the issue of mutual recognition of diplomas and documents related to scientific degrees. I hope that this work will be carried out by the relevant departments, at the right pace,”

The President stressed that this issue should be resolved soon, because mutual recognition of educational documents will facilitate the process of employment of Russian students in India and vice versa.

In addition, the Russian leader noted that interest in the Russian language is growing in Indian schools, and some domestic schools have launched programmes to study Hindi. This is reported by
